Carolina supports ESOL programs by recruiting, training and supervising volunteers that connect with students on an ongoing basis and also in one-time events hosted by ENB. She believes language is social and for that reason, volunteer engagement is crucial to class dynamic.
Carolina grew up between the US and Brazil — where her family is originally from. With a Masters degree in Social Communications by the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (Brazil) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism by the Universidade federal de Viçosa (Brazil), she brings forth knowledge on sociability and cultural sensitivity while interacting with program coordinators, teachers, students, volunteers and the broader community. She is also responsible for the annual Skills Training Fair — a place for students to connect with training providers to advance in their careers.
